This is Mine
What is a window?
It’s a symbol.
A symbol of opportunity
A symbol of freedom
A symbol of a better life
Or a better tomorrow
my better tomorrow.
A window is a symbol of peace
inner peace
my inner peace.
With a window, I’ll be free
I could run to somewhere better
I could thrive
I could survive
Finally.
Inner peace
Happiness.
A window is freedom.
It’s a way out
I could climb through a window
and find somewhere better
somewhere new
somewhere that isn’t quite as...
blue
as where I am now.
Maybe a little more yellow,
or green,
and some red for balance.
A window is a window
vague, yes I know.
it all depends on the mind’s eye.
To you, it’s just a window
but to me
it’s a way out
it’s an escape
it’s a breath of fresh air
for the prisoners that we all are.
Prisoners of the mind,
some of the body.
prisoners of love
prisoners of war
prisoners of pleasures
prisoners of life.
We all need a window
and this is mine.
