The Girl Across The Street
I see her staring out the window
It seems to me she's waiting for something other than fate
Her eyes scanning the meadow looking and noticing every single thing
Her mind wonders as she thinks of all the people who wished had her life
Seeing the flowers she thought
She thought of the imperfections in this world
The disaster in this world
The terror it brought
The lessons it leaves unknown
She thought of how to fix it; knowing she had no power
She walks away from her window leaving her thoughts there
Her thoughts stay with the window keeping it company
As the window awaits her she will return
