Staircase Waters
Gentle as rippling kisses…
Water will never be
Unraveling the strings of your veins.
The skin of your cheeks,
It will never dare stroke
After your tongue.
The knocks of your heart
Control
The surfaces of water; they
Fill your throat:
Lovely illusions are created that
Lead to deceitful kisses.
Spinning traces of a gentle rush
Crown water’s body, while
Tides of unhinged shards
Use deception.
The hushed murmurs of angels; they
Are a transparent truth; step on the lies of
Swirling whirlpools of inky darkness
With a depth you’d only find once dead.
(Now read from the bottom up.)
