Leave me alone

I feel the darkness around me,
the creatures it hides creeping closer.
I curl into myself
Trying to get away.
But I have nowhere to go and
Their skin brushes against me.
I smell their breaths and hear
as they become heavy,
the desire in them tangible.
The darkness still covers them,
And I can feel their closeness
But I can't see.
I want the darkness to go away.
“Leave me alone’
My arms tighten around myself
I slide to the ground.
“Leave me alone”
