"I am"
What did the beginning mean?
Time tocked and skipped a beat,
Leaving me hopeless
Searching for mother bird
If her love killed, immortality would have my soul
The wishes to fall in the arms of father
Oh so distant.
What is so desired destroys.
If I could discover who breathes the dna
Who lets the air slip off my lips
The thoughts that fill my mind,
Control each move I make.
The scars bring a new refined being,
Almost unrecognizable.
Knowledge builds my persona
While confusion dwells undercover
Who am I to be ungrateful
Who am I to wish death and life
I am not the mirrored reflection,
And yet I am.
I am the bird stuck in the nest,
The last of the offspring
The one who inherited her
Her memory foreign to me
Since my eyes could not see her,
Time ended her, and told me.
I feel the love that was meant to choke
So now, who am I?
I am her.
