First Signs of Fall.
The chilling wind from the east
It sways and breathes like a beast
The leaves scattered across the ground
They hit the dirt without a sound
The first signs of fall
When summer has dropped the ball
The sounds of kids in the distance
People in shorts showing resistance
The air is so crisp and cool
It’s time to empty the pool
Some kids will head indoors
Some kids will head outdoors
Money spent on candy so everyone’s poor
The spooky october shakes the core
The first signs of fall
A time loved by all.
