Lonesome Me
And maybe loneliness is my only friend
Because no one ever puts me first
Because I feel alone when I’m surrounded by people
Because I feel this solitude is myself
Because I try so hard, but never seem to be what they want
Because I no longer cling to those who don’t care about me
And sometimes I fear I was designed to be alone
Destined for trying too hard and caring too much and feeling to deeply and thinking always
I’ve gotten used to myself and no one else
