Filtered words packed perfectly on broken lines
that linger on forgotten yellow-stained pages.
Another promising piece put on hold,
addicted to the thought … a bound masterpiece.
Weary ideas drift like smoke through
open windows
while tired lungs exhale rings of frustration.
The musty stench of last night’s late-night
intentions
hangs on clothes the next morning,
a temporary reminder of dried, cracked creativity
that triggers the everlasting question –
“Should I just quit?”
