Unpredictable Moments
Whether I should adjust my thought,
it’s not like I had some memory
of healthy moment.
Abandoned, sad, a kid’s smile, I heard,
I turned around, wiped my face
and smiled. He was looking past me.
I nudged my head into his shoulder,
“Thanks for trying to keep your distance
from me. I guess, all efforts to
save me from you will fail, why me?” I asked.
He just held on to me.
Once I recovered, we went and sat
on the couch next to each other. He smiled.
“That’s why I like you. Do you realize
how rare it is to come across a girl who, that
you have no idea how utterly
unprecedented you are.”
I took a deep breath, there was
never a particularly cute moment.
