The lights turn on
Lines are learned,
Blocking is memorized,
Sets are constructed,
Props are made and,
Magic is made upon the stage.
The lights turn on
Makeup is applied,
Costumes are fitted,
And we rehearse scene for scene for,
The magic made upon the stage.
The lights turn on,
They are the brightest they have ever been,
People seem to swarm into states like cattle for,
Our magic made upon the stage.
The lights turn off,
The audience applauds,
