Love At Midnight
As we stare
Into the deep darkness of night
I think to myself
Could we be?
So I say to her,
Anything you want
You shall receive
from me.
If you need a hug,
I shall give you
three.
If you need some love,
I shall give you
the key
to my heart.
I can’t imagine us
being apart,
for you are my love.
Then I ask her,
“Will you be my beloved?”
I remember,
She looked so gorgeous,
in that evening dress.
And her answer to me,
was a resounding,
“YES!”
