She asks me...
She asks me to write a poem
and to make it deep
deeper than the ocean
or to pour our hearts out onto this paper.
She says to let us think
and let some of the craziest ideas roam
or let them fly from our deepest thoughts
and gently press them to the paper.
She wants us to range,
think outside of the box
so far you can't even see it.
But all I want to do
is finish this dreadful poem
and get it away from me
and out of my mind
so they can find out how I really feel.
