I Miss
I miss the simplicity of life
I miss my smile in the morning
I miss those bear hugs of his
I miss the touch of his hands
running through my hair
I miss his peppermint breath
I miss his sweet sky eyes
I miss the simplicity of life
I miss his fireplace smile
I miss his comforting, hazel hair
I miss his cradling embrace
I miss when he still loved me
But you left, my love
I'm wishing for remission
But the cancer of
Your memory stays
I try not to miss you, Dad
But in the end
I still do
