Megan Caroline
Sonder
She felt lost in a world that provoked the feeling
She lived in a place where loneliness
Could be found within every crowded room
Her head screamed with insecurities
Chaos
And a need to be understood
But she kept still- quiet
She sat along window frames
And prayed for the sweet sound of rain
Anything that matched the sadness she kept within
She walked through shadows of life
Never truly living
But still
She found peace within book stores
And coffee shops
She traveled around collected photos of beautiful places
And kept them with her wherever she went
As a reminder that she was never truly alone
She had the comfort of her memories
And captured the beauty they held
And overtime found beauty within herself
She compared her eyes to vast oceans
And her soul to the starry nights
She became a walking canvas
Ready to embrace glorious influence
She stood in front of mirrors
And saw her iridescent character
With each passing day
She became overwhelmed with sonder
And was finally contempt with this life
