Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Bristled badland’s flora bows
Beneath the foot of men
Virgin air
Waning Luna guides
Atop the summit near

Cross-legged and slouched
Where only dust dare grow
A contrite query cries

Interrupting vain contemplation
the smell of sage in bloom
Look upon, horizon far
No godless lights pollute

Knots of absence
Where eagles fly
Calm consumed the land

But confined to skin
Peace dares not enter
Turmoil that plagued
Since youth

Pleading to
The calm surround
I hunger for the sweet
Serenity
To bleed into my soul

Salty raindrop
Down my cheek
Melancholy’s prisoner
Barters for release

Three… two… one
Cleansed through breath
Wet lashes flutter
And vision for I see

Ten-thousand diamonds
