The Devil's Bathtub
Howling walls surrounded
A fearful, hesitant haunt
His face grimaced with delight
And pleasure…
Tonight he will conjure
All that is evil.
With his wicked magical
Voodoo
He summons evil with a
Hot molten fire
that hummed,
And hissed as it climbed
Quickly up the
Chimney walls
Tickling the smoke that
Entered the atmosphere,
And invited all spirits to join
His social gathering.
The spirits entered in their
Formal attire
during the witching hour.
The spooks immediately began
whirling around the crimson stained
foyer dancing in the Devil’s bathtub.
The ritual continued
as the ghouls gathered
In abundance chanting their
Master’s lullaby.
The music crescendoed
tempting the unclaimed souls
to join the master and release
their spirits
to him.
The master’s laughter filled the room
all the haunts became SILENT…
Only the musical note of a cricket
was audible.
“Welcome my guest,” he spoke
Jubilantly.
He rose from his throne
With his golden walking stick
A sly grin upon his face with
An air of triumph he remorsed,
“Tonight we will become one.”
A thunderclap of applause filled
As the spirits gave themselves to
Him.
