Don't
Don’t you think like that
I forbid it
Don’t cry
I will catch your tears
Don’t die, turn cold, or hard
I will warm soften and revive you
Don’t fall
I will catch you
Don’t hope for death
I will kill that hope
Don’t fear
I will be here
Don’t wish
I will give you what you wish if you only ask
Don’t not sleep
I will take on the nightmares with light
Don't scream
I can hear you
Smile. Laugh. Love. live. Run. fly. Listen.
Think happy thoughts.
The less time I spend fixing you the more I can spend loving you.

This piece I wrote for a few of my friends who battle with depression. They fight it everyday. And though I stand next to them trying to help I always tell them they will feel my love more if they can kick depression.
