We talked day in and day out
We laughed
We laughed into the night joy in our hearts
We loved
We loved like there was no tomorrow
I smiled
You made me smile when all seemed dark
You said I was the one
But I wondered
You lied…..

Your whispers were nothing in the light
Your feelings were nothing the next day
Your love was naught but a poison
A poison that seeped into my heart and filled it with hate
