Deer on Ramp
Heading out for dinner
Going through the toll.
We saw three deer
A mom and two babies.
The deer were crossing the road
But a baby was separated.
The faun panicked
Trapped on the ramp
With one exit
The highway.
We watched as it struggled
We longed to help.
Finally it found an opening
In the metal guards.
It ran into the woods
To find its family
And continue its life.
