What You Do
You walk by me in the halls
Look past me like I am a window
As if I were not there
You judge me when you know the least about me
Talk about me like you own me
I am shy because of you
I look towards the ground to avoid you
And all of your tormenting stares
You act like I am a piece of trash
Lying on the ground withering away until I am nothing.
I am like the gum on the bottom of your shoe
You want to get rid of me, yet you don’t want to touch me
You make me regret that I walked through the doors
You made me this way
But I create my destiny, not you
You can judge me, hate me, torture me
But I will not let you own me.
