Always Remember
If war leaves my hands intact
I will save them to comfort you.
If the stupidity of green camouflage blinded the world and called for war,
life forgive me I promise you to stop war.
If the pain of not knowing which side imprisons me my heart accelerates,
If I resist the open coffin in the jungle,
I promise to come back to life to open up my arms
and feel the love in your body.
But if death, with its heavy feet of clay poisoned my blood and I agonize,
I promise you, my beloved, I will keep fighting beyond life.
Return to your warm side willing to touch your forehead,
kissing your lips to giving my life back but, wait....
I will be back soon, war calls me, I must kill in the name of peace,
but if I do not return, always remember I love you.
