I am from...
I am from…
I am from loud days at the house
With kids running around playing
I am from big celebrations
Many cakes and food
For everyone
I am from long nights worrying,
About someone
In the hospital, or
Someone being out, too late
I am from a loud, welcoming home
Parents hugging and asking
How was your day?
I am from a home that has a dog
With many kisses
And company
I am from an, empty house
Mom downstairs, on her computer
Dad in his workshop
My brother always in his room
My dog sleeping
And me, on the couch
I am from a musical place
Violins, violas, and clarinets playing
Me singing, too much
Along with everyone telling me to
STOP!
I am from a house with preaching,
Telling me that what I watch isn’t, Godly
What I listen to isn’t something that He would appreciate
I am from a house with problems
Two siblings running away,
The other two unable to pay their bills
Easily
I am from a working home
Shoveling snow for money
Driving cars to switch them out
Or just searching for a paying job
