We are opposites
You are six foot three
I am five foot one
You are summer breeze and football shorts
I am library halls and oversized sweatshirts
You speak with your whole body
I worry over leaking sinks or misplaced socks
You are made of video games and picnic dates
I am made of words and nights spent sketching my dreams
You look for open spaces
I look for reading corners
I took my time to love you and then fell completely
You loved me entirely and then one day you didn’t.
