the beginning of something new
The start of things began with a fear of something brand new
A struggle I had within, let’s keep this between me and you
The start things began with me entering the school
At the exact point when I met you
There was a struggle between what I had to do and what I wanted to
A struggle you lead me through
There was a struggle between myself, and me
I never felt like my life truly meant anything
I’m moving on to continue with my high school education that’s what I have to do
Although moving on is so hard to do
I’m moving on from a long, hard journey and that’s all because of you
You helped through more than you could ever understand
I can’t imagine this year without you holding my hand
I’ll guide others as you guided me
I can’t imagine how else they’d learn to lead
This may seem like a thing I was compelled to do
But there was no better way to thank you for helping me through
This may seem like just gestus gesture
But it was something I really had to do
The story of my life runs so much deeper, but there are certain things I can never tell because it kills me inside to have memory of those times
But even with my mouth at a hush you always knew when I was going through hell, you made sure I was okay and you always wished me well
The story of my life has changed a bit it seems to be going pretty well
But when the road starts to get darker and I can’t see too well I know who I can go to, to be the light in the darkness you just taught me way too well
