a summer evening
it is a summer evening
i sit by the lake and watch the sunset as the waves breathe in and out and it is not too hot but not too cool and a soft breeze shoos away the miniscule insects biting at us and your hair lazily floats in the wind and draws my eye to your lips and in the dying daylight i can see how beautiful your soul is and my fingers curl around yours and the crevaces fit perfectly and if a moment could last forever i'd want to stay right here until judgement day comes and i have to explain to a kind-eyed God that there is no way i'd like heaven more than this
