The peaceful forest
A five minute march away from my house
There is a forest, so silent and peaceful
no human soul far and wide
it’s just me and the wood.
The mellow sough of the treetops nodding in the wind,
the birds singing so loud and clear
Oh, how I love the peaceful soul of the forest
combined with the warm, heavy air of summer
and the aromatic scent of pine needles mixed with the odor of dead leaves and dirt.
I close my eyes and enter a different world
full of wishes that have never come true
but the forest sings me the song of hope
brings comfort to me.

where the birds are singing me a lullaby
I can finally be free
