Dystopia.
Red ripples blanket the seas,
Cool winds strum sounds
Of fear and utter anguish.
Land levers the violent,
And the soil mutters expletives.
Safety? Peace? Humanity?
Stringent words endowed
With no meaning.
A crevice deepens,
Rifts the loveless lands
Into piles of indefinate policies.
Chirping bullets and
Wheezing bombs.
Taught torture,
And silencing norms.
One is better than the other
Pit us against each other.
The world used to be
A big ol' family.
Peachy pillows and
Willowing tapestry.
All that is left now
Is a cataclysmic war-zone.
Minorities are political agendas,
Majorities are mere puppets.
Blades are sharpened and,
Ties are forsaken.
Individuality, accepted within
Categories.
Dare not escape
The finite '-ism's.
You'll be thrown into the
Depth of a chasm.
Everyone asks for oneness
Unique with constraints.
The truely different
So, remain unaccepted,
Rather, hated.
Censored truths and
Soldered chains.
Here's our world,
We lived in vain.

The growing hate and violence, especially the attack in Orlando was my inspiration. This piece is how the world looks to my eyes.
