Apologies
I’d like to apologize to all women i’ve called pretty
before calling them intelligent.
I’d like to apologize to all men i’ve called players
before calling them kind.
I’d like to apologize to all i’ve ever judged
before even knowing.
I’m sorry that I have made you into something that doesn’t exist.
I never realized that something as simple as my look or thought,
could turn into your hurricane of self destruction.
From now on i’ll smile and look at you without assumptions,
not because I feel guilty or anything,
but because you are so much more than what meets the eye.
