Foolish Boy
Friday night: December 13th,
it was snowing. He steps inside
the coffee shop and the aroma
of the coffee beans fills his lungs.
He sits down and sighs heavily,
releasing a warm breath. He sits
there taking tiny sips from his coffee
and wonders if he’ll ever see that face again.
She had beautiful eyes, the type of eyes that
you look at and see the whole universe, something
that the night sky could never compare to. And she
gave a smile that looked a little. A little bit sad. What a beautiful person to have in my life he thought.
He kept replaying every little things he saw her do in his mind,
what he neglected to acknowledge was the ring on her finger he saw
when she was reaching for her coffee.
