Hush, Hush
  Hush, hush
  Dry your tears
I’m here to take away your fears
  Hush, hush
  Please don’t cry
I can sing you a lullaby
  Hush, hush
  It’s okay
Everything will work out one day
  Hush, hush
  You’re not alone
Not the only one in the dark and cold
  Hush, hush
  Please just smile
Stay with me for a while
  Hush, hush
  You’ll be fine
The pain will go away in time
  Hush, hush
  You need to rest
So when you get up you’ll be your best
  Hush, hush
  You’re okay
Don’t get caught up in your dismay
  Hush, hush
  Calm down now
  ‘I promise I won’t leave’ I avow
  Hush, hush
  I am here
Let me take away your fears

I was inspired to write this after talking to my upset friend, who was so distraught that he couldn't even really talk about what was going on. So, after our conversation I wrote a short poem to think on how I felt about the whole encounter.
