seconds
she wore cream, the picture of innocence yet she had nothing innocent about her. Her tangles of curly hair past her shoulders in an expression of power and chaos. She told the world of the problems she had but not of her fears and one day she hoped she wouldn’t have to express it but teach it. She truly loved people. When they stare at the rain or an ocean until their eyes burned from oxygen deprivation and in the moment they blink everything they were experiencing is washed away like the shells that sank at the bottom of the shoreline. She loved when they were drunk on love and adventurous thoughts and the smile they had was what made her push through her fears because she wanted to remember the sight of the crooked teeth open to the eyes of everyone around her as they expressed the amount of breathless happiness they had beneath. She truly lived off of the pureness of people. The 5 seconds of complete understanding after you understand a math problem is what she wanted to feel every second of everyday.
