first day
The first day of school is always an experience.
Saying my goodbyes to the old year and hello to the new one that awaits me.
Which is full of new memories and friends,
teachers,
and classmates.
The things that i will learn and do,
impact the type of person i will be at the end of the day.
Fast forward 9 months and here i am,
a young adolescent with a different view on the world.
A girl who learned "to walk in others shoes" and that "a man can be destroyed but not defeated".
i have become a more mature,
happier student,
with the knowledge learned from hours upon hours of doing schoolwork at the dining table.
What is left of this school year is only treasure and nothing else.
And all that now awaits me is the next first day of school to roll around the corner.
