Poems about Love
Sunshine
You felt like pure sunshine
Summer days I was caught in this haze
You made me glow
How would I ever of known it could be this bright
I have you to thank, for showing me light
Leaves were green in the summer
You were mine in the summer
Then the leaves changed colors
You showed your true colors
The wind picked up and the trees began to shake
As the leaves fell, I fell with them
Just as the tree lost its beauty in the cold I lost the part of me that showed mine
I always listened for warm
But all that was ever uttered was ice
Ice cold words shivering through my spine
The thought always crossed my mind
That you’d come back and tell me all you found was heartbreak and misery
We used to be fire but now you’re just ice
Eventually, the sun will come back
Even in the darkest of the night
It will come back and shine bright
You’ll find your way back home, and have a fresh start
Once you relearn to open your heart
