My Body
My body is disgusting
and I refuse to believe that
I am beautiful.
I realize this may be a shock but
“Everyone is beautiful”
is a lie and
“The skinnier the better.”

This piece was inspired by the body issues that a lot of people have today. I have had alot of insecurities about my body over they years and it was terrible. But I have come to love my body even though it may not be exactly like the standards set by society. Going through what I went through was terrible because you start to love yourself a little less each time you look in the mirror. This epidemic has taken over our society. Girls and guys have standard set by models in magazines for how they should look and if they don't look like that then they are considered gross or hideous. I hope that when people read this, they understand how terrible it is to hate your body and yourself. I hope people understand what happens to a person when they get made fun of because of their looks. And most importantly, I hope that people learn to love their body and themseves for who they are because everyone is perfect just the way they are.
