The pieces of Myself

As you leave this road to another,
Unsure of the path nor the fate
Just sure to make your dreams come true
Take the boulders, take the forever boulders of your soul

There may be others, some quick and fast
Yet don’t we all know there are no boulders on their backs?
You may want to be like others with their quick, fast paced beings in perpetual motion.
It is a secret that the wisest of them all are the ones with the heaviest loads.

Dangers with these fast paced beings are convincing and  gullible.
Yet don’t we all know there are no boulders on their backs?
They’ll lure you, they’ll scoff when your bundle is not lighter
It is a secret that the wisest of them all are the ones with the heaviest loads.
The walk finally curves, as you rest in the ray of a sunbeam, in the light of a thousand stars, in a field of green stretched beyond the sight of man, the quick are no longer in sight.
Yet don’t we all know there are no boulders on their backs?
But on your back, no longer weights but wings that have soared you through this journey
It’s a secret that the wisest of them all are the ones with the heaviest loads.

This is a poem for the time of graduations in school, and moving forward in life.
