My Friend
My friend is beautiful.
She won’t admit it, but she’s like the seasons;
wild and uncontrollable in their fierce,
natural beauty.
She’s like the rain;
her emotions swirling and changing in the midst of a storm.
Like the snow,
she’s softer and deeper than meets the eye.
She’s a grain of sand,
a fingerprint on a car window,
a snowflake;
each part of her its own.
She is whoever she wants to be,
and that is beautiful.
