How To Be Black
Welcome to my Tips & Tricks To Being A Black Guy
But as a disclaimer you have to read between the lines
So DON’T take anything I say to heart
But this is too long of an intro so let me just start
First thing is to put your pants ten feet below your waist
Then act like a thug no matter the day
Pull out your gun and point it at whoever is in your way
But be careful because the orange tip might give you away
You also have to start hanging out with a gang
But run right back home when they ask you to bang
You have to casually walk down a blue block repping some red
But once you hear “so wassup!” you’re praying you don’t end up dead
Walk around the police and you’re automatically put on your back
And when they arrest you just say “is it because I’m black?”
Then once he releases you because of that one line
Just laugh and say “the color of my skin doesn’t mean I have to do time”
The rest of the tips you learn as you go
And always remember to keep up with that black status quo
Because that's the one thing society will never let go

I wrote this as an English project but decided to keep it. Although this was an English project, I love writing poetry and I even write for fun.
