I met her in September
September, 18th 1991 on a rusty park bench was where I met her.
A goddess of beauty, one to sure remember.
Remember her I did as I sat on that park bench everyday.
And when she came back to me a long and lonely week later I told her my name was Shay.
A most rememberable Valentines day came and went,
As on that day I took her back to our park bench.
Oh how time goes by so effortessly fast.
It only seems a day past,
from the day I got down on one knee, presented my queen with a ring I asked her to marry me.
Now I'm back at our park bench and I'm fraile and old.
I'm back at her gravestone where her once beautiful body, alive and free now lies cold.
