The lungs of night exhale
Cars onto the
Parkway with their
Paper tail lights and
Carbonated laughs.
There is only the tinny sound
Of a broken aux cord
Playing we are the champions
As trees roll past like cigarettes
And headlights linger like
Party guests that overstay their
Welcome
