Strange isn’t it,
how much my heart used to absorb your love,
even more so than your presence illuminated my smile.

But now seeing you,
or even the thought of you,
resonates that of the un-mended scars in my chest
of when you ripped the love from my heart,
where you once placed it so delicately.
