Fears Inside
Starring in the mirror,
I found darkness,
I found the devil,
His words beseeched the air and clenched the back of my spine,
Sweet lullaby he sang,
It devoured my thoughts,
I stood there as he spoke with an angels eyes,
Is this the end?
I mumbled,
The tears dripping off my shaking face like rain drops,
Closed fist I struck the mirror,
Pieces stuck in my hand,
As blood slowly dripped off my hand,
I realized I was the devil,
It was all in my head.
It always was.

This poem is about how sometimes we let our own fears get to us, and really the only person limiting you is yourself.
