Princess in Shining Armor
Every day I think about how he isn’t talking to me, or I make myself believe he doesn’t love me anymore. Every day I freak out because I can’t see him. I cannot embrace the person I love. And the distance, makes my thoughts distorted. My brain hates me. Because every day I… every day I need to tell myself that I am me. And no matter how much I profess my love for him, I can’t make him love me. I cannot make him be there constantly for me. No matter how broken I am, I need to be there for me. Not just some boy. Well. He isn’t just some boy, he is my prince in shining armor… who plays magic and wears Marvel tee shirts. But even if he is everything to me, I need to remember that I was a princess locked up in a tower, and it wasn’t some prince that got me down… it was me. And I can keep going when he is not there. And I can triumph when he is. But I do not need any prince in my fairy tale love story.
