The Year

January 1st

A new fresh start
Snow starts to melt
Clothes start to thin

Then Spring
Flowers bloom
Warmth fills the air
The winter has gone
Leaves fill the trees

Then Summer
Pools open
Kids splash around
then comes the
sun burnt skin
Cook outs and campfires
fill the streets

Now fall
The leaves have gone
I see the longer nights
The day goes sooner
Then comes those monsters
Running for the candy
Then they eat too much
Then the sickness starts

Family arrives
The great feast is cooked
Everyone surrounds the tables
stuff my mouth
Full of turkey

Then the frost comes
White fills the ground
Cold fills the air
Then comes Christmas
Kids awake
Presents are opened
Then the fun starts
Children race down
hills with sleds

Hot coco boils
on new year’s eve
I see the clock ticking
at eleven fifty nine
on December 31st

Tick
Tick
Tick
The new year has come
