Summer Sled
Summer Sled
“Mom please,” I begged
and pleaded her.
“Go ahead,
but I tried to warn you” she said.
I walked.to the tip of the hill
I was walking
walking, walking
and there it was:
I still get chills just by thinking about it.
“Here I go!” As I scream down the hill
The freshly cut grass
ready.
I remember feeling it
every rock and stick
stabbing me in my back.
Then
“Plop!”
I had fallin
fallin into a ditch
Then there was a sound of a soothing but quite irritated voice
…”So now do you wanna listen to me!” my mother said
But all I could think to do is cry.
From that day on I never ever wanted to roll down a hill
But now i have every bruise
To remember the good times
I have with family.

I wrote this because the writing brought back great memories that I never want to forget. This day was one of the best days i've had yet. Also I wrote this because it was something fun to write about.
