Where I’m From
I am from flip flops and frozen popsicles
From Spongebob and Scooby Doo snacks
Freezing New Hampshire waters
and everyones daughters.
I’m from chinese jump ropes and manhunt
And the penny candy as sweet as sugar
A mom, dad and sister
who love me
very much.
I’m from hikes on a warm day
From going to Florida on a long flight
to swimming in my pool on a buggy night.
At the bottom of my shelf
in a fairy box
crisp, fading pictures
That define my family tree.
