The Tragic Tale of Harry Potter
“You’re a wizard, Harry.”
Is the first thing he can hear
And admit, it was kinda scary
Coming from a guy with a beard
It was dark in the night
Storm and thunder all around
Avoid of light
Then suddenly, no sound.
In a swirl of purple and blue
Sparkles glistened everywhere
In moments he pulled through
On his nose was broken eyewear
On a train that travels
The speed of magical light
The story of Potter unravels
Into the distance, out of sight
Harry Potter, the known child
A baby who survived the worst
He gained a scar and smiled
An infant; alive and cursed.
Lord Voldemort,
Mr. You Know Who
A man with support
A man who leaves you black and blue
Arrival at the castle went well
With Snape, McGonagall, Dumbledore
Sorcery, potions, spells
What else could you ask for?
The Sorcerer’s Stone
What is that object?
Shrouded in mystery, unknown
That is, for everyone except..
Hermione Granger, the smart
Ron Weasley, a redhead
These three friends are never apart
No matter what, they never fled.
Harry Potter, a second year
Two friends bound to him
A castle, a Chamber
The future looking dim
Third year is here, then it's gone
An uncle to break out of Azkaban
A hippogriff to ride upon
Father first seen by the young man
A Goblet aflame
Sits on top of a pedestal
A competition promising fame
The whole situation skeptical
Into the maze they ran
Completing a riddle
Trying not to become a dead man
But Harry stood in the middle
There they gather,
In a circle of black
Harry would rather
Not be tied up and attack
Our hero nearly dies,
He thinks of his faraway family
Relaxes, and closes his eyes
He is safe, thankfully.
The battle isn't done
A group trying to restore Order
A Phoenix, with wands as guns
Fear in a brink; a border
A Prince, Half-Blood
Arrives in the war
Snape, in love with a Mudblood
Whose loyalty, he swore
A Deadly siege, a Deadly Hallows
Evil against good
Fought from the light, the shadows
In the end, two figures stood
A fight to the death
With a man with no nose
Who will take their final breath?
Wait and see, I suppose.

I've loved the storyline of Harry Potter since I was a little chitlin. The first time I stood up and walked, actually, was while waiting in line at the movie theater for the first Harry Potter movie.
