 Random Autobiography

By: Ilham Ali

I have been to New Hope
Where I saw people walk past
With a friendly greeting.
I have been to the beach
Where the sand and water ran through
My toes and the fresh crisp air blew
Across the sandy beach.

I have lost trust and respect
From the ones I love.
I have lost friends and family
Where then and there was my
Breaking point.
I have found hopes and dreams
Where it was unexpected.
I have found knowledge and wisdom
Without asking.

I have seen the prettiest sunset from
My bed room window.
I was expected to be the strongest oldest girl
Of 5 in the world or terror.

I’ve held a precious secret in my heart
Then once it was over I let it go
Forever.
I have stories that are yet untold
Then once their told you’ll
Know.

I love the one closest to my heart
And mind and then lost.
I learned once it’s gone it’s over forever
No matter what.

I’ve witnessed the worst and best days but in
The end I learned to accept life
As it is.
