Humanitarians
Prayers can keep you sane,
But they can’t reverse the pain.
Funerals are laced with black,
But aren’t for the dead.
We protest and expect,
For animals to be free,
Then kill them maliciously,
Like murderers who claim to not be on a killing spree.
The world will end,
Deny all you like.
Is being a hypocrite your kryptonite?
Superficial minds,
Blanked stares and stolen lies.
We can’t get out of our heads long enough to survive.
Hide in your castle,
Hide in wealth,
Stay ‘clean’ in your water,
Stay well in your health.
They’re all distractions,
All ways to forget.
That we have nothing in the end.
But that there’s always time left,
When you have nothing to regret.
