Butterflies
Born with me, within my tummy are butterflies
They are the innocent and youthful
They remind me they are there when I ride on a roller coaster
They remind me they are there when I drive over rail road tracks
They remind me they are there when I am nervous
Then one day without warning they are no longer there
The innocence within me vanished
They vanished without my consent
They vanished without warning
My butterflies drowned by the toxins of the real world
The poisonous gases that are truth and death suffocate the innocence of my butterflies
I miss my butterflies
I miss their innocence and youth
