Crying for Help
Why do we ask questions?
Is it for the answers?
Make sense, right?
You ask your parents what time dinner is
The only purpose is to find out what time dinner is.
You ask your teacher how to solve an algebraic equation,
The purpose is to know how to solve the equation.
No other reason to ask
Except when I do it to make it seem like I actually care,
You get my point though.
But if the reason for asking questions is to find an answer,
Then why are we so tempted to ask questions
When we know we can’t answer them?
It seems like attempting puzzle you know you can’t solve, right?
Why do we do it?
Is it because we like the change in our tone of voice?
Is it because we like looking at the little question mark at the end of our sentences?
Why do we do this?
Maybe we are trying to remind ourselves of our ignorance
Maybe deep down, we are fighting against our denial of how ignorant we really are
But even if we are already aware of our ignorance,
Why do we continue to ask these questions?
Maybe it is our way of attempting to escape this mental prison
Maybe it is just us crying for help.
